Note: You must have completed Crucial Conversations for Mastering Dialogue either virtually or in person within the past 12 months to register for certification; on-demand courses do not qualify. Independent consultants are not eligible for certification.

Note: Once you are certified, your organization must purchase a learner license for each person you teach. This learner license includes the book, learner guide, and other materials learners need to complete the course.
Course Facilitator
Shelina Pabani is a highly motivated learning and development professional with more than twenty years of experience leading large-scale learning organizations. She has had an opportunity to train in many organizations around the world, including China, India, Europe, and Canada, and works well with diverse audiences. In addition, Shelina trained and created professional development experiences for a range of audience levels, such as senior executives, front-line managers, and individual contributors.
Before Shelina started her own leadership development consulting practice, she held various senior leader roles, including the head of talent development for Walmart.com, head of global retail training design for Apple retail, and the head of learning and development for Prosper Market place. She brings these experiences into the classroom every time she trains. Shelina’s strengths include strong facilitation skills, motivating teams, and influencing. She is easy to work with, has an outgoing personality, and values strong relationships.
FAQs
Are there prerequisites to this course?
Yes. You must have completed Crucial Conversations for Mastering Dialogue within the past 12 months to register for certification. You also must be employed by an organization in which you will facilitate the course. Prior to being enrolled, you will need to complete a Trainer Certification Agreement, provided by the course manager.
Are there additional requirements to teach a course once I’m certified?
Yes. Certification grants you the right and the skills to facilitate the course. Your organization will still need to purchase a learner license for every individual learner. This learner license includes the bestselling book, a learner guide, and other materials. You may only teach the course to those within your organization.
What’s the difference between the legacy version and the new version of the course?

When will I receive my course materials?
Physical materials will be mailed to your preferred address and should arrive by the Friday before course date, provided you have signed and returned the Trainer Certification Agreement. Digital assets will be emailed to you the week before training.
Can I pause the training or request a recording for future reference?
No, the course is streamed live. Participants must attend each session and complete all activities to pass the course. The sessions cannot be paused and will not be recorded for future use or reference.
What equipment do I need for a virtual course?
You will need the following:
- Zoom video conferencing app
- Adobe Reader
- High-speed internet connection (ethernet preferred over Wi-Fi)
- Minimum download speed of 512 kbps (If you can watch Netflix or YouTube without buffering, you should be fine.)
- Supported browsers: Firefox, Safari, Chrome, or Internet Explorer
- Supported operating systems: Mac or Windows
What if I need to cancel?
If you are not able to attend a class, you must notify the Crucial Learning course manager. If you provide:
More than 2-weeks’ notice:
- Transfers/cancellations/substitutions: No fee. Please be considerate when requesting transfers and allow one week for a refund.
Fewer than 2-weeks’ notice:
- Transfers/cancellations: A $200 administrative fee will be applied to cover delivery costs.
- Substitutions: No fee.
No notice before the start of class:
- The registration fee is retained in full.
