SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
VITALSMARTS INSTRUCTIONAL PLATFORM (VIP)
What is VIP?
The Vitalsmarts Instructional Platform (VIP) is a self-contained desktop application. It is not web-based and does not require internet access to operate. It also does not collect or store any Personally Identifiable Information (PII), and it does not upload any documents or data to external sites. The VIP includes course material in the form of presentations containing slides and videos for each of our courses in Communication, Performance and Leadership. Only the certified trainer delivering the course is authorized to install and use the VIP software. Individual course participants are not authorized to install the application.
FOR WINDOWS
- Operating System: Microsoft® Windows® 10 v21H1 or Windows® 11 v22H2
- 6 GB hard drive space (each additional presentation also requires 6 GB)
- Video card with 64 MB or more dedicated video memory
- 8 GB or more system memory (RAM)
- Intel® or AMD® dual-core or better processor (CPU)
- 4:3 compatible screen resolution (i.g. 1024×768, 1600×1200, 1920×1440)
FOR MAC
- Operating System: macOS 12 or 13 on Intel hardware. The VIP app supports only Intel processors and needs Apple’s Rosetta 2 in order to work on a Mac with Apple silicon M1 or M2. Refer to Apple’s official KB at https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT211861

ON-DEMAND SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
- An internet connection is required to log in and view on-demand courses. All courses offer a range of multimedia features, and we recommend that you have audio capabilities with speakers/headset, and a good broadband or network connection for the optimal experience.
- Courses are built to work on all iPads and tablets. Layouts, scrolling or displays may vary depending on the device you have.
- Web Browsers: we support the current and the previous major release of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Microsoft browsers. This currently includes Microsoft® Edge and Internet Explorer. Each time a new browser version is released, we begin supporting that version and stop supporting the third most recent version.
- Mobile Browsers: On-demand courses are fully HTML5 compatible which means you can experience the course on your smartphone. We support current and previous Android versions as well as current and previous iOS versions
- For course videos to play within your browser, you will need to ensure your network is not blocking our video provider. All the videos in the on-demand courses are hosted on Wistia. See additional recommendations here:
- In situations where all video or audio content is blocked, regardless of source, allow listing the following domains will ensure Wistia content comes through:

- The following reporting components should not be blocked or prevented from loading by their browser or network filtering:

CRUCIAL LEARNING PLATFORM SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
- An internet connection (7.5Mbps or greater) and web browser is required to log in and access Learner Materials.
- Adobe Acrobat Reader DC (or comparable PDF viewer) is required for opening, editing, and saving PDF files downloaded from CLP.
- Web Browsers: We support the current and the previous major release of Chrome, and Microsoft® Edge browsers (we do not support Internet Explorer 11).
- The Learning Platform uses the following Domains:
